Across hundreds of studio performances I directed for T4’s Popworld, Goldfrapp’s ‘Strict Machine’ stands out as a personal favourite. The performance had a hypnotic electricity, Alison Goldfrapp’s presence, the precision of the visuals and the sleek, otherworldly aesthetic all came together to create one of the show’s most memorable moments.
